You may not be too familiar with the name Clark Sabat, but you're certainly familiar with his label Friends With Benefits, created with stylist Lynn Levoy.
Sabat's friends/fans include Sienna Miller and Olivia Palermo. Now, he's taking his aesthetic from casually draped recycled cotton blouses to couture-quality dresses.
For the debut Clark Sabat collection, the designer used kangaroo, eel and python mixed with cottons and silk jersey to create intricately pleated and perfectly-draped pieces. Since each item will be made-to-measure, dresses start at $3,000, jackets at $3,500 and vests at $1,500. (Most pieces from Friends With Benefits, on the other hand, hover around $400.) Sabat will also create custom garments upon request.
