Any looks we didn't include that you're jonesing to see in H&M stores?
Let's be honest, this may be the greatest Lanvin piece of all time. Alber Elbaz's miraculous Spring 2008 collection drew praise from every corner of the fashion world. Elbaz created wearable, effortless looks that were incredibly sought after. This look would translate perfectly into the H&M language since its made out of polyester.
Alber's ruffles are world famous and this white dress captures the look with simplicity and ease. The basic silhouette and lone ruffle would be easy to recreate, and it's a look that would flatter many women.
Three things Lanvin x H&M better bring back: The immaculate design and color of Lanvin's Fall 2007 collection, black bob wigs, and Ali Michael. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that all three show up at H&M.
If the perfect suit exists, this one is pretty close. Loose fitting and utterly wearable, this black suit from Fall 2008 is just the look that is missing from women on budgets' wardrobes.
Lanvin's bridal collection makes brides, and non-bride-wedding-dress-buying-Liz Lemon-types everywhere shudder. The casualness and relaxation of the collection is a welcome shift in the uptight and corseted look of the typical bridal market. When Viktor & Rolf collaborated with H&M they created a wedding dress, and Lanvin definitely should too.
Women will swoon over this Lanvin look from Resort 2009. The dress is perfect for everyday wear and has captures Lanvin's signature style without being over-the-top.
What could be better than Lanvin x H&M + leopard? Seriously, try to answer that.
Fall 2008 was a winning collection for Lanvin. Alber worked wonders out of grosgrain ribbon, including this gorgeous cream-colored top which would be just as at home over a black pencil skirt as it would with a pair of jeans.
While H&M designer collaborations are usually practical interpretations of a designer's central looks, I think there should be a little fun in every collection. What better than tons of bows to make you feel like a Lanvin princess?
Though the Lanvin x H&M line will debut in November, it's never too soon to start planning for Halloween 2011. Who better to go as than Alber? Or you could go as Alber everyday, but that might get weird...
