The Best of Pre-Fall, Part II

In our pre-Christmas roundup of the best of the Pre-Fall collections, we shone light up on Chanel, Zac Posen, and many more. Part deux tells a more cohesive story, with a focus on double-faced wool coats and sensible skirts. We know there may be a few more collections to come, but with the men's shows in Paris happening right now and New York Fashion Week launching in less than a month, we felt it was time to say adieu to the world of Pre-Fall. And in some circumstances, place our personal orders.

Celine We actually preferred this Celine collection over Phoebe Philo's Spring 2011 offerings, mostly because there were more options. But really, she had us at the first houndstooth coat. Gimme gimme gimme.

Balenciaga We love the leather peplum. But we really love the doggy sweater.

The Row Pretty much every suit the duo did was perfect. But this camel skirt stole our hearts.

Givenchy This collection was both strong and pretty.

Rochas There's something very special about Marco Zanini's work at Rochas.

Jil Sander Raf Simon's pre-fall collection was so sensible, yet so strange. That's what makes it so desirable.

Stella McCartney This is the ideal everyday outfit.
