Model, muse, Carine Roitfeld offspring and graphic designer Julia Restoin Roitfeld is either designing a line of lingerie or buying a lot of it and then talking to reporters about how much lingerie she has.
At yesterday's Burberry show, where she sat front row amongst Gemma Arteron, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Sienna Miller and Kanye West, Julia told WWD, "I’m mostly excited about the lingerie collection I’m working on. I have a really great lingerie collection, but it’s not for my boyfriend--he doesn’t care--it’s for myself. Next to shoes, it’s my favorite luxury.”
Here's a sexy little surprise to start off the day: For her first ever design gig, Julia Restoin-Roitfeld has designed a capsule collection of lingerie for Kiki de Montparnasse. As we reported back in September, Roitfeld mysteriously hinted that she might be working on a lingerie line, but nothing was confirmed until now, which is great because you'll only have to wait about a week to get your hands on the lacy creations. According to Elle, the collection hits stores next Wednesday.
Now that Julia Restoin-Roitfeld has been a mother for nine months, the model/lingerie designer/art director is planning her next /project around motherhood. She told the New York Post that "in a few weeks" she'll be launching her own online publication about motherhood and pregnancy.
