When Stefano Tonchi went to W, we had high hopes. The former T editor had a clear vision for the mag that we were excited for him to carry out.
Now we're just bored. At least with the covers.
Unlike T, which has become even more visually appealing under Sally Singer's reign, W's whole "we're putting actors on the cover that no one knows yet" thing just feels stale.
Our favorite cover star, really, was Kim Kardashian, who is nothing if not uber-famous.
If Tonchi and co. really want to be subversive, they'll start putting--gasp!--models on the front. Or designers. Or artists. Now that would be different.
