The top girls this season came in all styles: feminine, girlish, androgynous, and overall stunning. Check out the fresh crop of new girls that made it big this season.
Aymeline Valade: Women Direct
I knew from the second I saw Aymeline at the ACW casting that she was going to be big this season. Appearing in Alexander Wang's "image piece," Aymeline started the season at Wang and finished it as the opener at Vuitton. Let's see what editorials Aymeline has in store for spring.
Zuzana Bijoch: NEXT NY
Zuzana's chic and sophisticated look made her a must have for all the big shows, like Marc Jacobs, Vuitton, Gucci, and Prada to name a few.
Kate King: Elite NY
Kate King made her mark this season at all Katie Grand's shows: Giles, Loewe, and Vuitton among them. Kates of noble nomenclature stick together, I guess.
Colinne Michaelis: Silent
The coveted spot of opening the Prada show went to Colinne Michaelis this season, who's darling looks made her a perfect fit for the brand's girly collection. Also of note, Michaelis is the granddaughter of iconic Vogue art director and artist Alexander Liberman.
Kristina Salinovic: Select
Kristina's androgynous looks caught the eye of Nicola Formichetti, who not only selected her to open his Mugler show, but styled the other models' hair to look like Kristina's signature asymmetrical crop.
Xiao Wen: IMG
Xiao Wen walked a couple shows in New York, but made her break after Prada in Milan, alter walking in Ungaro and Vuitton.
Emily Baker: DNA
Emily Baker started off AW11 in Alexander Wang and Calvin Klein, and continued booking the best shows through Paris, including Hakaan, Miu Miu, and Chanel.
Maud Welzen: DNA
Maud Welzen's strong face and presence made her a must at Prada and Calvin. She's perfect for editorial; hopefully she'll be all over the mags this spring and summer.
Nyasha Matonhodze: Marilyn
Nyasha is another girl on this list who's beloved by Katie Grand and her team. Nyasha appeared in Giles' Pre-Fall look book in January, and then walked Topshop, Giles, Ungaro, and Vuitton this season, amongst others.
Lydia Willemina Collins: FORD
Lydia has come a long way from her mother's tattoo shop in Australia, where she was discovered. So new, she doesn't even have a model card yet. Lydia's new red hair, courtesy of Givenchy (where she was an exclusive this season), is sure to make her a must-have in the coming months.
Marique Schimmel: Supreme
Marique Schimmel snagged the number two spot at Prada, but that's not getting her down. She walked the highly selective Balenciaga show, and her model card is undoubtedly one of the more fiercer ones in this bunch.
Hanaa Ben Abdesslem: IMG
Hanaa looks like a softer Omahyra Mota, with the same piercing eyes and cropped locks. She has exactly what it takes to be successful in this androgynous moment.
Josephine Skriver: Marilyn
Josephine's sweet look made her perfect for Prada and Miu Miu--let's see if it will carry her into editorials.
