TORONTO--As Toronto Fashion Week came to a close, LINE Knitwear continued its reign as one of the nation's greatest design exports with a hit parade of knitted wonders. Filling the runway with floor length maxis, chunky cable cardigans and an assortment of luxe fur trims, designers John Muscat and Jennifer Wells took us on a journey through the tapestries of Eastern Europe, bringing together an artisan-inspired collection titled "Migrant Muse."
Leading the pack was none other than top model Alana Zimmer (who walked over 60 shows this season) draped in a crochet knit shawl ensemble that echoed the label's nomadic sensibility. Amongst the stream of rich yarns in muted autumn hues were a series of light graphic prints seen on bow blouses and dresses, balancing the lines opulent textures and patterns.
Layered in cashmere and chiffon, LINE Knitwear's bohemian look brought a renewed ease and elegance to the season making it a highlight amongst the many designers seen throughout the week.
