Hailee Steinfeld for Miu Miu: More Campaign Images!
Two more images have surfaced on Grazia from Miu Miu's fall campaign starring Hailee Steinfeld and our love affair with this Bruce Weber-lensed campaign continues. She's shown in the same open-air, backwoods setting in two new gorgeous Miu Miu looks--the first a a bit more glam with dramatic floral sleeves and amazing gold sequined shoes--the other a bit simpler with a beige dress and bag and chic black pumps, equally amazing.
Apparently some people are upset that Hailee Steinfeld is just 14-years-old and starring in Miu Miu ads. We don't really get it, given the fact that Steinfeld looks adorable--not to mention, her age--in the photos. Plenty of models under the age of 18 work on big campaigns, and they're often tarted up. Miu Miu's campaigns are not only some of the most tasteful out there, they're also the most compelling. If Steinfeld is deemed old enough to star in movies that work her to the bone and pay her more than what most of us make in a year, then she's old enough to pose in clothes that she loves.
Hailee Steinfeld, who has worn designer frocks on the red carpet with more aplomb than actresses twice her age, is now the new face of Miu Miu. Prada reps and Steinfeld's stylist Karla Welch both confirmed this to various media sources on Monday. Welch told the Daily Beast, "Miu Miu is such a perfect fit for her. Throughout awards season, they were the dresses she wanted to wear.” The Fall/Winter 2011 campaign has already been shot, but no details are available about it.
The 14-year-old pretty quickly won the respect of the fashion industry with her sophisticated yet entirely age appropriate red carpet choices.
