Yes, Kanye West is really definitely designing a collection and has been unyielding in getting outside support and advice from anyone he can. Last week, Louise Wilson, the director of the MA in fashion course at Central Saint Martins, confirmed to the Guardian that Louise Goldin was collaborating with Kanye West on his once-rumored, now-factual clothing line. Today, Harper's Bazaar Australia has further confirmed that it's happening and revealed that their fashion editor Christine Centenera (who is also a freelance stylist) has been traveling to Paris twice monthly and consulting West on its' creation since the two met at Paris Fashion Week in March.
They must have met at a Celine show and talked about how much they love that new Phoebe Philo and realized they just had to work together. Or maybe West bribed Centenera by stealing the top to her Celine suit and saying he wouldn't give it back unless she consulted on his clothing line!
According to HB, the highly-anticipated line will debut for Spring/Summer 2012. And with all this high-profile help, to some pretty high expectations.
