Kiehl’s, despite being one of the original “heritage” American beauty brands, manages to stay dynamic and modern, mostly thanks to constant innovation and its ability to create buzz.
Kiehl’s was excited to show everyone its new Upper East Side location (on 64th and Lexington) which also houses its first-ever spa concept, Spa 1851, which opens today. It has three treatment rooms and offers treatments like specialized facials (including microdermabrasion), peels and eye treatments, and scalp treatments. Basic massages are also on offer, including pre- and post-natal options.
Kiehl’s is also heavily courting men. It already has a successful men’s line, and the new spa features a testosterone-friendly men’s grooming area. The barber chairs were designed by an artist who specializes in leather motorcycle art--motorcycles are a huge part of the brand’s heritage, and play into all of their events and store imagery.
Congrats to Kiehl's on its new addition, and we hope the concept expands to other markets.
