Cosmoprof Report: Five Hot New Beauty Brands from Down Under Are Launching Stateside
Las Vegas has a peculiar obsession with Australia right now. There’s a show running there called, “The Australian Bee Gees Show,” and my personal favorite, “Thunder from Down Under” (flier at left), a sort of Chippendales-go-to-the-Outback man stripper show.
The obsession continued inside the
Sin Care: Skin care products start to all run together after a while. In this crowded market of “miracle” products, it takes a really innovative one to stand out.
Evo: The stripped down graphic packaging and interesting vocabulary used on the labels (eg: “Gluttony shampoo: A shampoo gorged with protein”) sucked me in, but the products kept me there.
Ghassan: A small hair care line that launched in Australia five years ago, the hair mask is their best seller (A rep told me she uses it on her dog. That is a seriously spoiled dog.) Coincidentally, this is another brand that told me, “Organics don’t work alone.” So Ghassan is enhanced with organic ingredients. Every product, from the conditioners to the sculpting clay, seems really rich--plus these products smell delicious.
