About a year ago, we were beyond delighted to learn that Purple editor Olivier Zahm was working on a book about former Paris Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld. At that point, the book sounded like an autobiography that Olivier was writing--however, based on photographs that have just popped up on both Style.com and Vogue.com (who also has a funny interview with Carine), it looks to be more of a photographic look back at Roitfeld's life and career thus far--which makes perfect sense given her legendary styling.
The aptly titled Irreverent, is due out October 18 published by Rizzoli and is currently available to pre-order on Amazon for $63.00. Not bad! Click through for images straight from the 400-page book, including old family photgraphs, some of Carine's most memorable shoots, Lara Stone and Crystal Renn's first Paris Vogue appearances, a sweet thank you note from Tom Ford and more. Not included: a shot of Carine wearing nothing but a g-string and white pumps; but, according to Style.com, it's in there.
