Here's the view from their room, a little villa on a beach called Emeraude Plage that had a magical outdoor kitchen where they cooked fresh fish for dinner at night.

They rented a red convertible to take drives around the island. This little friend came up to their car on one of the scenic drives.

After dinner, they loved to go to this relaxing spot, Do Brazil on Shell Beach, where locals come to watch the sunset and listen to this amazing raspy-voiced guitar player. Some nights were a bit more wild though--they went clubbing a few times at places like Le Ti, which has a nightly fashion show and where people get up and dance on the tables!
The best part of the trip was the natural beauty of the island; Joy was really inspired by this old weathered door in their resort that had a beautiful patina from years in the sea air, and is using the color effect for her designs for spring.
