Just 24 hours after Jason Wu was confirmed as the next Target designer, the mega retailer is already teasing us with some glimpses of what's to come (like this video)--and we gotta say, we really like what we see so far!
Given, we've yet to see a whole garment but from what we peeped in the video, we have some gorgeous fabrics to look forward to--we're especially excited to see where the navy, red and white fabric, which is so classic Wu, gets put to use in the collection. Oh, and the handbags! In the video we get a glimpse of what looks like a white, textured fabric purse with black hardware details that we're sure will be a top seller.
And as for Wu's cat-spiration Milu, there's more of him to come. "My muses are always unexpected, a little whimsical," says Wu in the video. And cute, we'd like to add!
Target also released one of Wu's sketches of the collection (thanks to the sharp eyes over at Elle for pointing us there) and, as you can see, it shares the ladylike silhouette of his Spring 2012 collection as well as the short, spiky hair. We're loving how classic the Wu for Target dress is, which means we'll be able to wear it long after the hoopla for the collection dies down. Plus, we think it'd look great on Michelle Obama! Remember, it drops February 5, 2012. Only 169 more days to go...
