The month of November brings to mind the beginning of holidays, family time, obscene shopping trips, but mostly just us bundling up in our winter coats and complaining about the cold. While the chill in the air has officially settled, you wouldn’t know it by passing your local magazine stand.
Three Marilyn Monroe covers might be an accident, but four is definitely a trend, so it looks like nudity is the new black with the November covers of Vogue Germany, Spain, Portugal and Russia featuring lots and lots of skin. Not that we’re complaining much. But while we can appreciate the gentle wink and nudge provided on Portugal’s cover--“Dress up!”--is this overabundance of flesh more tacky than it is sexy?
