Exhibit A: One of Kate Moss' first-ever photos by Corinne Day in 1993, with underwear and some pretty bare bones. Exhibit B: A shot from Rihanna's latest music video, "We Found Love," wearing underwear and a jean jacket.
Rihanna's gotten a bit of a reputation for paying (maybe a little too much) homage to previous artists--see her recent lawsuit with photographer David LaChapelle, who accused her of copying his work in her "S&M" video-- and it seems for her latest she took inspiration from vintage Moss. Note the lack of pants and sullen expression under Christmas lights. It is a pretty cool image, to be fair, but let's be honest here RiRi: we've seen this one before.
Which do you prefer? The original waif or the new illuminated, pants-less video queen?
