It's a Brad, Brad World is set to kick off the new year on Monday, January 2 and he tells us he'll be doing lots to get the word out.
Tomorrow night, he'll be in NYC to host Fashion Forward, an annual fashion show benefit for the Gay Men's Health Crisis (GMHC), along with Tracee Ellis Ross (Diana Ross' daughter). It's always a great event and will feature looks by Chris Benz, Thom Browne, Jean Paul Gaultier, Zang Toi, Timo Weiland and others. (Go here to buy tickets!)
Goreski was nice enough to answer some questions for us! Click through to hear more about his involvement with the GMHC, what he's thankful for and whether or not he'd ever move to NYC, plus see a full trailer and two new clips from the show. It looks juicy!
How did you end up getting involved with this event? Tonya from the GMHC contacted me about 9 months ago and asked me if I would be the host of Fashion Forward. I immediately said yes! It was a total no-brainer for me. It's such an honor to be involved. What do your hosting duties entail? I think most importantly it is to keep the crowd entertained, raise lots of money and look SUPER cute. Why is the cause important to you? The GMHC is so important in gay and lesbian history and in the history of HIV/AIDS. The work that they do, the support they provide and the love that they give is so inspiring.
A lot of great designers are contributing looks. Are there any you are particularly excited to see? Thom Browne..I will be wearing his clothes too! I love him. And Chris Benz because he's my homie.
Are you nervous? I'm not nervous right now, but I'm sure I will be.
Do you have a lot of events/activities coming up to promote your upcoming reality show? YES! Got to get the word out there.
You must be pretty busy. Do you have a staff or is it more of a one man show? I don't have a staff, but I do have assistants that I LOVE to death.
Thanksgiving is coming up! What are you thankful for?
I am thankful for so many things! This year has been so amazing. I keep shaking my head wondering if its real. I try to be grateful everyday.
It seems like you're back and forth between New York and L.A. a lot. Any tips on being bi-coastal? Would you ever move to New York? I do travel back and forth a lot. I try to stick to my LA routine when I'm in New York for a long period of time. Gym, work, sleep, hang out with friends. Also, it helps to leave a suitcase of clothes at the hotel I stay at so I don't have to pack every trip. I would move to NY. My boyfriend is from here and it's closer to Canada where my family is. I just don't know if I could take the weather.
