Last night, Kate Middleton and Prince Wills hosted a charity dinner to raise money for the National Memorial Arboretum Appeal, the Daily Mail is reporting. 120 guests attended the dinner, the Prince made a few speeches, and the whole thing was one, big, classy affair. Not too shabby for the couple's first dinner party!
Now onto the good stuff: What Kate wore. The Duchess looked stunning in a Grecian-inspired gown by (you guessed it) Jenny Packham. While it's no surprise that Middleton wore the designer, who she's proven to be quite fond of, we have to say that this flowy, glamourous gown seems slightly out of Kate's usually structured and sedate comfort zone. It almost reminds us of a Studio-54-era Halston frock. And we like it. Plus, at least she's not wearing high street, right Christopher Kane?
As for the red poppy, it's a British (and Canadian) tradition to wear one on November 11, which is Remembrance Day.
What do you think of Kate's look?
