Madonna Covers Harper's Bazaar, Says Her Lovers Are Not 'Just Sexual Appendages'
Madonna's new movie W.E. will hit theatres this December, so expect to see her hitting the publicity trail to support it. Exhibit A? She landed the cover of December's Harper's Bazaar with W.E. star Andrea Riseborough, who plays the controversial Wallis Simpson. The above picture is the subscriber version, and below is the newsstand version. There's also a meaty interview with Madge inside the mag, which does not disappoint. Here are some of the highlights:
Yesterday we got a glimpse of the December Harper's Bazaar UK cover featuring the original supermodels (though it was sadly missing the always-fascinating Linda Evangelista). Today the issue hit newsstands, so we get to see the whole thing. Plus, the Duran Duran connection is finally explained.
Though husband Nicolas Sarkozy is no longer the president of France, ex-French First Lady Carla Bruni is still hanging out in the public eye this winter. The former supermodel (and pal of Emmanuelle Alt) just landed the cover of the December/January issue of Vogue Paris.
In honor of the new Smurfs movie, out July 29, Harper's Bazaar shot the only lady Smurf, Smurfette, for a fashion spread in the mag's August issue which hits newsstands July 12. The editorial highlights accessories (it's hard to find designer clothes in Smurfette size) and in these pix, she's wearing fall Louis Vuitton and Lanvin.
