We’re looking for an experienced Vintage Buyer to purchase, curate and merchandise our Vintage Department. Vintage is Nasty Gal’s heritage, and we're dedicated to offering the best vintage available on the web. The ideal candidate will know and understand our Vintage customer and delight her with amazing assortments that are uniquely Nasty Gal. This position is in downtown Los Angeles, CA. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: - Create and manage the flow calendar of vintage apparel and accessories into the store. - Purchase, curate, assort and price vintage selections for weekly new store updates and style for vintage catalog photo shoots. - Set up vintage styles into NG’s inventory management system, write and key purchase orders and also add styles into the web platform. - Write creative and thoughtful product descriptions for vintage items that accurately represent the styles to the customer. - Weekly and monthly selling analysis with sell-through rate and gross margin. - Partner with NG’s Creative team on blog posts and external communication around new vintage updates. - Support Creative with vintage items for editorial campaigns and marketing. - Establish relationships with vintage suppliers and be able to successfully negotiate the best price.
REQUIREMENTS - At least three years experience in reselling women’s vintage apparel, shoes and accessories for an established retailer. - Thorough knowledge of apparel history including designer labels and fabrications. - Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills, attention to detail and have the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast paced environment. - Creative approach to problem solving - Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills. - Proven ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional business partners. - Ability and willingness to travel domestically. - Computer proficiency in office, excel, word, Blue Cherry a plus.
