A NYC Fashion start-up company is searching for a confident, highly motivated and very well connected fashion professional. The candidate will contribute to the launch of an online marketplace on which consumers will sell and buy luxury brand apparel and accessories.
Qualifications • The ideal candidate would have 3+ years of experience and excellent relationships with major fashion bloggers and magazines editors • Must be familiar with social media practices in the fashion industry • Up to date on luxury fashion • Strong written and communication skills • Well organized, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, self-management skills • Ability to recognize and authentify luxury brand apparel and accessories • Bilingual French is a plus
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: • Manage PR tasks targeted towards print and new media (PR strategy creation, pitching, press releases, relationships with influential bloggers and magazine editors, ensure placements) • Manage online PR (using social tools like Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.) • Community management (interact with buyers and sellers) • Manage the way products are pushed forward on the website, mobile application, Twitter, Facebook, etc. • Customer support (answering basic questions about the site by email and/or telephone, technical questions will be answered by other coworkers) • Various other office/administrative work
