PARIS--The fashion world has been missing model Karlie Kloss and her famous pegs all month. The model-of-the-moment didn't walk in New York, London or Milan because for some mysterious big opportunity--"a game changer ;) #LovingLife" she Tweeted on February 9.
But she's back and burning up the runways, making her Paris debut opening Anthony Vaccarello's fall 2012 show. It wasn't quite as risquee a look as the slit-up-past-the-thigh Vaccarello dress she wore both on the designer's runway last season (and then to Carine Roitfeld's vampire party, and then in that cute silly video for her agency, Next--yeah she pretty much owns that dress). But this navy satin suit doesn't look so bad on her either.
So just where was Karlie? Our bestie at Elle.com (yes, that's former Fashionista editor Britt Aboutaleb) got a little scoop. Rumor has it she landed a gig filming a commercial in Japan (and as anyone who has seen Lost In Translation knows, Japanese commercials pay buckets of money) but apparently it all fell through. We're just happy to have her back on the runways.
