Let's be honest. Last night's Oscars red carpet was, for the most part, a parade of safe dresses, as it tends to be. We don't blame celebrities for wanting to stick with safe options--who wants to end up on a worst dressed list? We wouldn't! However, one burgeoning red carpet style star went perhaps the safest route of all by essentially wearing a dress that another A-list actress wore five years ago, with success.
Emma Stone's Giambattista Valli gown was lovely and while wearing a gigantic bow on your neck is a bit risky, the dress is extremely similar to the Balenciaga number Nicole Kidman wore to the Oscars in 2007. Kidman's was more of a true red and a bit more streamlined than Stone's, but the dramatic bow neckline and silhouette are pretty identical.
Who do you think wore it better?
