A full service multi-line fashion and accessories showroom is seeking a highly motivated full-time Showroom Manager. You will be responsible for developing and executing a sales and PR/marketing strategy that is in line with our brands goals. This position will also develop a strategic plan to expand product placement in key areas, including a short term and long term business plan in order to get placement in critical accounts. The ideal candidate for this position will have previous experience in retail. Must be highly organized with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
Job Responsibilities: § Create sales/PR/marketing plan for clients and oversee team. § Generate new business by prospecting, referrals, networking, researching, conducting private showings, attending trade shows, setting up appointments and visiting potential new customers. § Identify customer needs and maximize up selling and cross selling opportunities. § Present and sell products, programs and added-vales to the customers. § Monitor and track inventory of the individual sales lines. § Provide feedback to management on weekly sales reports, customer satisfaction, product quality, and program acceptance § Work alongside team for seasonal sales goals, completion of order confirmations and all order maintenance § Maintain Selling Reports, weekly and seasonal basis Web and Editorial Shoots, sample coordination for retail shoots/press requests (e-commerce, advertising, press events). § Market Preparation, book and confirm appointments for upcoming market weeks § Forecasting future sales based on the sales pipeline. § Identify critical accounts that reflect our brand and core values - develop plans for product placement while simultaneously understanding the impact of other accounts. § Develop partnerships with all accounts in order to grow current base. § Forecast growth annually on a per account basis § Team with all support groups in the office. § Pitch in when necessary to help achieve overall corporate tactics, projects while maintaining sales focus. § Help develop assortment plans by account that represents our collections. § Help develop the assistant for future opportunities.
Requirements: § BA Degree, preferably related to Business or Retail. § 3+ years experience sales or showroom management. § Fluent in Microsoft Office. § Background in RTW & Accessories. § Excellent networking and sales skills. § Experience in developing and growing sales. § Passion for trend and style, a true understanding of fashion and function. § Position requires strong organizational skills. § Great communication skills including written and verbal. This includes outstanding presentation skills, great listening. § Great follow through with customers, corporate, all levels. § Attention to detail. All paperwork, orders must be 100% accurate to provide the best service possible. § Proactive thinking, ability to identify opportunities and jump in when needed. § Analytical ability - must be able to analyze customers business and identify risks, opportunities. § Creative ability - must be able to help customers visualize assortments, adjust product designs to meet large customers when necessary. § Outstanding negotiating ability. § Must be a self-starter, self-managed, self-motivated individual. § Successful track record in opening new accounts as well as growing existing accounts.
