See Karl Lagerfeld Do 'Normal' Things Like Cook, Surf the Internet and 'Drive a Car'
Remember that absurd photograph that popped up Wednesday of Karl Lagerfeld grocery shopping with Saskia de Brauw and Caroline Brasch Nielsen? As if that would ever happen (he admitted it was his first time in a supermarket)? As promised, there is more where that came from thanks to an amazing spread in French Elle, which hit newsstands today. The theme is to reveal Lagerfeld's real day-to-day life and apparently that involves Karl-clad models following him everywhere he goes--from reading a sports newspaper at a café, to chopping vegetables in a mostly black kitchen and surfing the internet.
De Brauw and Nielsen even help him push a car, which we can't imagine being very effective. Hilarious captions include "Anyway, I did not need to go shopping since I never eat!" and "I have not driven since I was 18, and it is a benefit to society, because I ended up in a ravine, without even knowing why!" [Ed. note: whaa?]
