Baggy leather pants. It is as dubious as it sounds. New York had its fair share of these voluminous trousers, and it wasn't long before they began showing up in London (Topshop Unique, Mulberry) and Milan (Gucci, Ermanno Scervino). Most incarnations put a great deal of volume around the hips, something we've seen a lot as a result of the popularity of exaggerated shapes this season. But we're not sure how flattering, or practical, it is.
It's not our favorite trend, we'll give you that. When a garment has a tough time being pulled off by a model on the catwalk, we're not sure how much hope we hold out for a regular customer. Would you give baggy leather pants a shot?
