Confession: Yes, I watch The Bachelor. If only to marvel over the fact that Ben Flajnik continues to have that hair and Courtney Robertson's baby voice and unmoving forehead. But yes, I watched. And when Courtney hopped out of that helicopter (also why so many helicopters?) on Monday's finale wearing that white floor length cape I immediately thought of Gwyneth Paltrow's Tom Ford Oscar look. It was like the made-for-TV-Bachelor-in-Switzerland-proposal version! Turns out, so did the Bachelor's stylist, Cary Fetman (which: wait? I thought contestants picked out their own loose blouse-y tank tops and thin scarves?). He told InStyle, “When I saw Gwyneth at the Oscars [in her white Tom Ford cape and gown], I thought, ‘Oh my God, this is the most stunning thing I have ever seen!...And then I remembered how we put both girls in capes for the finale! People will probably think I copied her, but the show was shot months before the Oscars.” We never thought you copied, Fetman. We also think Gwyneth wins.
