Fashion and hip-hop just got a little bit tighter. BET reports that Pharrell Williams is releasing a book this October, titled Pharrell: Places and Spaces I've Been. It will be a sort of retrospective of his career, and quite a few of his famous friends are contributing to the book.
Jay-Z, Kanye West, Takashi Murakami and...wait for it...Anna Wintour all added their two cents to the book. Pharrell has a long-time thing with Anna and Vogue. He was in an editorial spread with Karolina Kurkova in Vogue's April 2006 issue, has attended the Met Ball (and was the performer in 2010 that time that Diddy got Anna to dance at the Met after party), and has hung out with President Obama and the editrix. He sits front row at fashion shows frequently, like at this past season's Lanvin show (pictured above). Oh, and don't forget about his fashion lines, Billionaire Boys' Club and Ice Cream.
Pharrell once said of Anna, in this 2008 , While defending that controversial Gisele/LeBron James Vogue cover in a 2008 Paper article, Pharrell said:
That's why I love her. Cause she doesn't give two fucks about what nobody thinks -- even when she does controversial shit, it always goes to her benefit. She's a genius chess player. And far from racist.
What do you think Anna will write about Pharrell?
