Vogue's May cover may not be the most exciting, but the magazine redeems itself with what's inside: namely, "Cat's Meow," a six-page spread starring a raven-haired Arizona Muse and an adorable little black and white cat. Look at it!
Muse showcases spring's animal-inspired handbags in the Raymond Meier-lensed editorial, but we're really more concerned with what the cat, a welcome distraction from Muse's confusing hair, is doing. In the first photo, it hides under a table; in the second one, it looks ready to pounce on something; in another it looks like someone behind the camera threw it onto an ottoman. Here, Mr. or Ms. Kittycat is just chillin' with Arizona Muse, with its paw resting affectionately on her leg and its eyes staring right into the camera.
Surprisingly, the shoot was not styled by cat lover Grace Coddington, but the also-talented contributing editor Elissa Santisi. Pick up a copy of Vogue's May issue, on newsstands now, to see the full editorial.
