So Anna Wintour (allegedly) may not want Kim Kardashian anywhere near her Vogue, but Franca Sozzani doesn't seem to feel the same way towards Kardashian. Kim Kardashian just posted the above picture with this tweet (which goes out to, you know, the almost 15 million people who follow her):
Amazing shoot today for Vogue Italia! Thank you @Rushka_Bergman & @akafrancesco for your creative genius!!!
Rushka Bergman is a fashion editor at Vogue Italia (and a former Michael Jackson stylist) and @akafrancesco is none other than Francesco Corrozzini--aka Franca Sozzani's son (and a well known photog in his own right). Kim seems to eerily by channeling her momager, Kris Jenner, in the above shot with short cropped hair that actually looks really good on her. We're assuming all the paps in the shot are part of the actual shoot. Very meta. Paparazzi is an Italian word after all.
Vogue Italia isn't afraid to go after pop culture and give it the Vogue treatment (see: "Haute Mess") and this is why Sozzani's mag is always one of our faves to watch, no matter what you think of the subject matter.
UPDATE: Franca Sozzani just tweeted, "@KimKardashian will be the star of photo shoot in the July/August number of L'#UomoVogue." So it's Uomo Vogue, not Vogue Italia, but still, Kimmy gets her Vogue.
So what do you think of the idea of a Kardashian in Vogue? Is it the end of the world as we know it?
