MONIQUE PÉAN is seeking applicants for the important role of Finance and Operations Associate. We are a well established and fast paced eco-friendly fine jewelry company that sells our collection to department stores, specialty retailers and independent stores. We are seeking a highly motivated, well organized person to join our team. The Finance and Operations Associate supports all financial activity and will manage all daily financial functions to support the organizational structure. The right candidate is highly detail oriented, can pick things up quickly, is self sufficient, and has good people and management skills.
DESIRED SKILLS: • B.S. Degree in Business or Accounting/Finance required • A minimum of two years previous bookkeeping/financial experience preferably in a retail or wholesale environment • Have a working knowledge and use of QuickBooks • Extremely detail oriented • Strong communication, writing and organizational skills • Ability to multi-task/juggle multiple projects simultaneously • Ability to collaborate effectively at all levels and functions • Ability to comprehend and analyze financial statements, reports, reconciliations, and other related documents • Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel • Confidentiality of professional and personal matters • Must have excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done; especially when important deadlines and events cause greater than normal pressures or business needs
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: • Maintain Financial Books of the Company in Quickbooks • Handle All Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable tasks with vendors and retailers • Cash Flow Management • Payroll Management • Employee Travel and Expense Tracking • Generation, maintenance and review of monthly financial statements/ and various internal and external reporting documents • Assist in all other aspects of the monthly and quarterly financial close process including Inventory counts and budget analysis • Ongoing Budget related functions pertaining to: Income Statements, Cash Flow, Inventory Development and current business state • Work closely with the COO, CFO and CEO to develop and maintain annual sales plans, projections and budgets by season and by account • Assisting on Special Projects as needed
OFFICE MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES: • HR Functions ie; Insurance, Vacation etc. • Maintaining and ordering all Office and Cleaning Supplies • Initial Travel Planning & Travel Research • Mail Processing • Occasional handling of incoming and outgoing messenger requests and other deliveries • Occasional drafting of correspondence for CFO, COO and CEO • Assisting Sales Team as needed
