Having modeled for Monsoon lingerie, Agent Provocateur and Victoria's Secret, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley obviously knows a thing or two about lacy underthings. And now she'll be putting her extensive knowledge to good use, designing a lingerie line for UK high street giant, Marks & Spencer, the Telegraph is reporting.
The new collection will be a part of the retailer's Autograph range, which Rosie has been the face of for two seasons, and will fittingly be called Rosie for Autograph. "I thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with the design team to create my dream collection, and I'm looking forward to a fun and creative time ahead," Rosie said of the collaboration, which will be available online and in select stores September.
And what does a lingerie supermodel's dream collection look like? Apparently, it's comprised of 33 pieces adorned with rose-print motifs and deco-inspired detailing and will include silk lingerie sets, camisoles and French knicker sets, and kimono style robes.
"[Rosie] really understands beautiful lingerie and what works on the body," Marks & Spencer's executive director of clothing, Kate Bostock, said. We wouldn't doubt it for a second.
"With all her modeling experience," Bostock continued, "She has a great eye for color and style which, coupled with our extensive knowledge in lingerie design and technique, is a winning formula that we can't wait to share with our customers."
Can't argue with that.
Hungtington-Whiteley has already successfully made the jump from model to actress with her turn in Transformers, and if she can pull off designing, too, Gisele better watch her back...
