More fashion from Cannes! While the film festival could easily be mistaken for a big celebrity fashion show, this time it was on an actual runway.
Last night's amfAR gala was apparently full of entertainment--a charity auction involving massages from Heidi Klum, music performances from Fun and Jessie J, Karl Lagerfeld, and, for the first time, a full-on runway show "curated" by the inimitable Carine Roitfeld.
As reported, every look was black, but the show looked far from boring thanks to a cast of big-name models like Lindsey Wixson, Karolina Kurkova, Kate Upton, Jourdan Dunn, Edita Vilkeviciute, and Toni Garrn, wearing big-name designers. (And Lily Donaldson reprised Karlie Kloss's slashed and slit-up-to-there Anthony Vaccarello dress.) Leave it to Roitfeld to bring a huge dose of sex appeal to a charity event.
Other participating designers included Alexander Wang, Balenciaga, Roberto Cavalli, Chanel, Christian Dior, Christopher Kane, Emilio Pucci, Fendi, Giorgio Armani, Givenchy, Louis Vuitton and Versace. And afterwards, the whole collection was auctioned off to the highest bidder. We're extremely jealous of whatever tall sample size person got their hands on this stuff.
Also, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Roitfeld was being filmed backstage for her upcoming Fabien Constant-directed documentary Mademoiselle C. We can't wait to see that footage, but for now, click through for runway pics (and see all the red carpet photos here)!
