A boutique Public Relations firm, seeks a Senior Account Executive to work within a team in overseeing a comprehensive Accessories roster. The firm specializes in communications and marketing strategies for the fashion, fine jewelry, lifestyle and luxury market. The Public Relations Account Executive will develop, tailor, and implement the overall strategic public relations programs. This strategy will include social relations through events, internal and external communications, and close partnership in building and maintaining new and existing clientele relations. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES • Candidates must have established relationships with accessories editors, fashion publications, and stylists on both a national and regional level, including short lead, long lead, broadcast, and digital • Ability to proactively and creatively develop media pitches for all mediums, including editorial features, news items, develop story angles, and write press releases • Ability to handle and direct multiple projects simultaneously in a high-pressure, multi-faceted environment • Manage staff of account coordinators, overseeing daily product placement and media tracking • Polished media relations skills, strong written and oral communication skills • Act as a central point of contact for all incoming PR requests (Maintain, Prepare, and Distribute) • Determine the appropriate metrics for success and then assess the effectiveness of our media tactics for continuous improvement • Coordinate PR strategies for store launches, opening events, in-store promotions, and special appearances/events • Develop new business proposals for potential clients • Support new business development through participation in meetings with prospective clients, build on existing contacts by further developing and cementing relationships in key media outlets • Report to Vice President JOB QUALIFICATIONS • Minimum 3-5 years of media relations experience in an agency/ in-house setting • Experience working with luxury brands, particularly with jewelry and fashion accessories • High energy and forward thinking interaction with the public • Superior attention to detail/organization and a clear approach to using communications to drive results • Poised personal presence to represent the organization at the highest levels • Demonstrated success with highest value media (press, social, event, non-traditional) • Expertise in the promotion and protection of brand equity/reputation • Experience in digital • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • New York based
