Here's a first look at Prada's celeb-filled, David Sims-shot fall campaign. It stars actors Gary Oldman, Garrett Hedlund, Jamie Bell and Willem Dafoe, all of whom walked in Prada's fall show. According to a release, the campaign is meant to look like a portrait hung in the hall of a modern palace. The mix of actors, all at different stages in their careers (and whose ages range from 26 to 57) is meant to "represent a cross-generational broadening of the face of Prada Menswear." Taking a note from Prada's fall menswear show in which a mix of models and actors strutted on a blood red carpet, the background for the campaign is a dramatic and austere cardinal red. Apparently each campaign face is supposed to play a different archetype employing "exaggerated poses and conspiratorial glances" which "hint at the game." We're not sure what "the game" is but we're also pretty sure that these guys are winning it. Seriously, how bad ass are Oldman and Dafoe? Our only gripe? Where's Adrien Brody?
