Last month, we were all heartbroken to learn that the lacy Comme des Garçons man-dress Marc Jacobs donned to the Met Ball had already sold out. Devastated would be an understatement. The thought of never seeing this heavenly creation gracing another body was almost enough to make us quit fashion forever.
But just as we were canceling our subscription to WWD, something otherworldy happened: Seth Meyers somehow got his genius comedic hands on the very same dress (or maybe a recreation--but who's looking at labels?), and lucky for us, wore it in public. On stage, at the CFDA Awards, no less. And he looked pretty fabulous.
Sure, the "Italian funeral" ensemble was part of Seth's requisite hosting gags. And his poor man-nips may "have never been so freezing.” But we have to hand it to him--he kind of pulled it off.
Who do you think pulls off the sassy see-through man dress look better: Marc of Seth?
