To build excitement for the September 13 launch of CR Fashion Book, Carine Roitfeld keeps dropping little nuggets about her new magazine.
First, we saw a video from a mock-up of the mag (dubbed "issue 0"), then heard rumors that Kate Upton may be Carine's first cover girl. Now there's a real image from the actual magazine, and it's in WWD this morning. Model Juliet Ingleby, shot by Sebastian Faena (remember, she supposedly can't work with any photographers on contract with Conde Nast--so that would mean lots of her long time photo collaborators are out), walks through a cemetery covered by a flowy lavender veil (as one does), flanked by three black-clad minions. As one does. [Ed. note: Can you imagine being at that cemetery mourning a loved one the day this shoot happened?]
The pic appears today as a gif on CRFashionBook.com with the veil blowing in the breeze. Sexy in the cemetery? So Carine. So good.
What do you think of this first peek at the new magazine?
