LC's fashion empire is growing. Following her successful Paper Crown and Lauren Conrad for Kohl's lines, a fantastic beauty site, and various fashion books, the former reality TV star has quietly launched a collection of eco-friendly accessories with an Austin-based company called Blue Avocado, which Conrad became an investor in late last year. And they're actually pretty cool.
The line's called xo(eco) and includes a little zip up pouch that unfolds into a huge shopper, a super convenient toiletry bag with detachable pouches, a travel bag specifically for curling and straightening irons, a "lunch case," which I believe is a lunchbox for adults and other cute, functional things in tasteful colors and patterns. They're all made out of a fabric called Repreve that's made out of recycled bottles. We're kind of impressed.
But what would you expect from the girl who successfully organized and ran a full-on hat runway show to benefit the Laguna landslide while she was in high school, even after having to watch her boyfriend kiss his ex right in front of her?! (Anyone else been watching Laguna Beach on MTV "Retro Mania?") Trey would be proud.
Moral of the story: LC's proven herself to be a smart, motivated young lady who cares about things, which is more than we can say about some of her peers. See below for a video of Conrad talking about the collection and some photos of it, which you can shop now on Amazon.
