The Olympics Opening Ceremony is mere weeks away, and we finally got a glimpse of how our US athletes will look when they take that lap around the Olympic stadium.
We already saw the slick Nike kits for the team's track and field athletes, and today the team unveiled the formal parade outfits. Ralph Lauren, who designed the looks, went with a very Kennedy-esque vibe for them. Featuring classic navy double-breasted blazers for guys and white knee-length skirts for the ladies, the look screams American prep. Oh, and they all get to wear jaunty little berets and red, white, and blue scarves. While the guys look fairly dashing in a country club sort of way, I wish the ladies' were a bit more flattering and form-fitting. When an athlete looks a little lumpy and matronly in an outfit, that concerns me. A more shrunken blazer would do the trick maybe.
Anyway, what do you think of Team USA's Opening Ceremony outfits?
