In not-so-surprising (and long overdue) news, Alexa Chung has revealed she will launch her own clothing label. It's about time!
The TV presenter and model (and one of our personal style crushes), who covers Numero Tokyo's latest issue, told the magazine (which we saw on the Daily Mail):
"Yes, I’m definitely going to do that. I’m looking into it right now. I’ve got nothing to lose, it’s a bit of fun. In this current era of celebrity no one believes you actually design the stuff anyway, even though I sketch everything myself. So if it sucks I can say I had nothing to do with it, and if it’s really good I can say ‘Here are the drawings, it’s all my own work!'"
We love that Chung has a contingency plan ready to go in case the collection is panned, but somehow we doubt she'll need it.
There's no word yet on what the line will be called or who else might be involved in the project, but given Chung's success as a guest designer for Madewell, we're pretty sure it will be chockfull of covetable pieces that every girl south of 14th street will want to get her hands on.
Are you excited for this to happen?
