On last night's episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians (just on the off chance you didn't watch it, of course) Kanye brought along his stylist Renelou Padora to Kim's kloset to klean everything out. We noticed as soon as Kimye became a thing that Kim's wardrobe underwent a drastic change. Out were the kolors, the skin tight Herve Leger bandage dresses, and in was kleavage kovering Celine and Givenchy, in a muted palette of blacks and whites. "But babe, you gotta really clean out everything," Kanye said as they approached the closet--a space that in NYC would be a roomy studio.
"He's a fashion designer and he loves clothes so I'm excited to like collaborate with him to see what his take on fashion is," Kim said optimistically, before Kanye and Padora decimated her closet. (Also, does that mean that Kimye shoe collab is actually happening?)
After the purge (the "donation pile" seems to fill up several rooms), racks and racks of what is probably lots of Celine, Givenchy and Lanvin arrive, along with a tailor to ensure they fit every curve perfectly, but her closet still looks sparse. She tells Kanye that she wants to cry, but then says something about how when she's "on some new shit," she'll look back and laugh at herself. She also later tweeted that "The clothes I got rid of on tonight's episode will be up on EBay next month for a charity auction! Going to Life Change Community Church."
The main conflict throughout much of the rest of the episode, aside from Rob having a meltdown, is Kim's desire to branch out and do things separate from her sisters. Khloe and Kourtney are not on board with this and they spend much of the episode arguing over everything from whether Kim should get to do a one-on-one interview with Oprah to the name of their cosmetics line.
"Kanye's definitely inspired me to wanna like, be a little bit more of an individual," Kim says.
Uh oh. Has Kanye kaused a Kardashian krisis?
