It's hard to believe another summer's almost over--time flies when you're bringing fashion news to the people at a remarkably rapid pace on the daily! But let's get real: As much as we at Fashionista adore basking in the sunny rays of summer, there's nothing quite like shopping for autumn. We much prefer sweaters to sweating, thank you very much.
So, to celebrate the end of one season and the beginning of the next, we decided to put together our own personal fall wish lists: What Fashionista wants for fall. From Leah's penchant for sweaters, Cheryl's luxe leather, Hayley's pops of color, Dhani's kitten prints, Tyler's smoking slippers, Anna's fantasy YSL bag, and my weird obsession with all things plaid, you'll get a taste of our personal styles--as well as maybe a few tips for your own fall/winter 2012 wardrobe!
Enjoy the rest of summer while you can, and happy fall shopping!
Steven Alan sweater: I love this color blue. And I love sweaters. So. There you go.
I've been wanting to get involved with the neoprene/surf trend for a while now and these JBrands are just the way to do it -- they don't scream surf and JBrand never fails to make your ass look awesome.
This Claire Viver clutch. I just love her stuff and this is the perfect casual jeans type of clutch.
I don't know why I've held out on buying a pair of Bass loafers. I need them for fall. For sure.
Karl mini skirt: The faux leather updates this staple.
Theory leather dress: Dying for a ladylike leather frock this season. This one will do.
J.Brand brocade jeans: Because brocade is not just for drapes anymore.
ASOS jeweled earrings: My hair is growing out at a snail's pace so I like to compensate by wearing huge earrings.
Rick Owens biker jacket: A girl can dream, right?
Proenza Schouler cap toes: Proving that pointy toed pumps don't have to be prim and proper.
Eberjey pajama set: My sister actually has this and I fell in love. So soft and so cute!
I've wanted tassel loafers for FOREVER. I think I'm finally going to make it happen this season.
Color block clutch in orange/fuchsia: Would give a pop of color to any outfit.
There's just something about this hat... I'm obsessed!!
Marni leather tote: The perfect oversized black bag of my dreams.
10 Crosby Derek Lam Kitty Print Romper: Umm, because it's a kitty print romper.
APC silk twill wrap-over dress: Everything about this dress, from the side buttons, to the tie belt to the silk fabric is perfect.
Madewell the Old Town Boot: Is there such a thing as owning too many black heeled ankle boots?
Chloe striped ribbed cashmere sweater: A super cool, cozy new take on the striped sweater. I'd wear this pretty much every day.
American Apparel High-Waist Pleated Pant: I used to have a roommate who I'd steal these perfect pants from all the time. I moved out... so I need my own pair.
This checkered Chloe coat: I would live in this coat. Mostly because I'm obsessed with it, but also because I would no longer be able to pay my rent.
A cozy oversized turtleneck sweater to pair w/ skinny pants and bury my face in while I'm walking in the city.
Boutique by Jaeger plaid dress: Every fall, I secretly dream of building a home inside a hollowed-out redwood tree My Side of the Mountain-style and wearing lots and lots of plaid flannel to stay snuggly in that theoretical forest.
Velvet hair bows: Style-approved by both Blair Waldorf and Anne of Green Gables. I'll take one in each color, please.
Autumn is the perfect time to kick my haggard Chelsea boots up a notch with a spike heel and some oxblood.
I'm obsessed with J. Crew, and I'm always a fan of a good bow motif.
I really, really want a PS1 and I always like having a bag in a fun color.
I find that I can't really pull off anything too "edgy," but these pyramid earrings in rose gold are still classic without being too sweet.
This look from Aquilano and Rimondi Fall 2012 - I was a medieval history major in college, and this whole collection felt like a modern version of that style of dress. Plus, I love the cape and the bows at the back of the heels!
I live in flats and Miu Miu makes some really cute ones. I've been dreaming of these since I first saw them.
The new One Direction album. Their music is totally my guilty pleasure and, let's be honest, they're not a bad bunch to look at.
I love that this jacket is a bit masculine and oversized. It will layer really well over chunky sweaters and skinny jeans. I also love navy as an alternative to black.
Rag & Bone Floppy Brim Fedora: Perfect for turning chilly, rainy days into super cute hat days.
I wish I could own an Equipment blouse in every color. This striped one is the perfect way to dress up jeans and flats, and again has a slightly masculine feel that I love.
The fact that this sweatshirt is Kenzo and features the Eiffel Tower masks the fact that it is just a sweatshirt - great for being comfy at fashion week without compromising cuteness.
YSL Medium Chyc Leather Hobo: This is such an ideal shape and color for autumn. I would use it every day.
