First comes love, then comes a joint footwear venture? That's apparently the relationship route for match made in reality TV heaven Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. According to RadarOnline's "exclusive source," the designer darlings that comprise Kimye is "taking their relationship to the next level" by launching a footwear collection together--the obvious next step for this enterprising young couple.
Sounds fishy, right? And here's where it gets even fishier. Radar cites Kim and Kanye's potential business partner as PPR CEO Francois-Henri Pinault, who, Radar notes, "owns Louis Vuitton, which Kim and Kanye are obviously both big fans of." Erm, actually Radar, Louis Vuitton is part of LVMH (you know, since it stands for Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy) and PPR owns Gucci Group (YSL, Balenciaga, etc.,).
Questionable sources aside, the real question here is, what would a Kimye shoe look like? We're thinking a combo of Kardashian-esque spike platform Louboutin knock-offs (Kim's never been one to shy from being 'inspired'), mixed with those painful, beaded Giuseppe Zanottis from Kanye's Paris show in March--plus a few velcro straps for some all-important Kimye street cred. As for color? A Kanye West-approved palette of white, gray, and black. Kolor is for kwitters.
Click through to see the Kimye shoe we (and most likely Kris Jenner) are dreaming of. If the rumors are true--which, c'mon guys, this is from an exclusive source--would you be up for walking a mile in Kim and Kanye's shoes?
