For the fourth and final installment of Miu Miu's "Women's Tales" film series, director Massy Tadjedin has wrangled an all-star cast for her short, "It's Getting Late," which makes its world premiere on August 30 at the Venice Film Festival.
Aubrey Plaza, Gemma Arterton, Patricia Clarkson, Rinko Kikuchi and Maya Sansa can all be seen in the just-released trailer. Au Revoir Simone and Zola Jesus provide the moody soundtrack.
The series showcases and supports the work of talented women filmmakers. Tadjedin, the Iranian filmmaker who wrote and directed Last Night, follows installments by Zoe Cassavetes ("The Powder Room"), Lucrecia Martel ("Muta"), and Giada Colagrande ("The Woman Dress").
Each film seeks to explore “the feminine love affair with Miu Miu" (can't argue with that) and they're pretty fantastic. Check out the trailer for Tadjedin's "It's Getting Late," and if you have a few minutes to spare during lunch, click through to watch each of the past four installments.
"The Woman Dress" by Giada Colagrande
"Muta" by Lucrecia Martel
