The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are currently in Singapore as part of a tour of Asia for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. Today, they took part in an orchid-naming ceremony, where an orchid (Singapore's national flower) was named after Princess Diana and another, "Vanda William and Catherine," after the couple.
Of course, this lovely and perhaps emotional event (and photo op) called for an appropriate outfit. So far, Middleton's been showing respect to her host country with her outfits. For the orchid-naming ceremony, she went with one of her go-tos, Jenny Packham, with a little festive element: the kimono-style dress was covered in orchids.
She and William looked just lovely strolling amongst the flowers. And, just now, she changed into a super cool frock by Singapore-native Prabal Gurung, which has some asian/orchid vibes as well. We approve of both looks and their political correctness.
Prabal was so psyched when he found out he's been instagramming pics of the Duchess like mad and wrote, "So xctd that I just now stopped some strangers on the street n showed them the pic of Kate Middleton in our dress. They probably thought I was some crazy from East Village. Oh will it's true I am crazily happy!!!"
We're crazily happy for you too Prabal!
