The Clothes: Where to begin? There was a Marie Antoinette/courtesan vibe here--Meadham Kirchhoff always does costume-y shows and this one was a doozy. The show, titled "A Cautionary Tale," featured corsets, full skirts, lots of bows, and kitschy anachronistic elements like a Minnie Mouse t-shrit and denim jackets. The jewels were big and the hats were bigger. Honestly, you need to look at every single picture of this show. I didn't want it to end.
The Hair and Makeup: Curls were piled on top of the head, and each girl had a different bow or hat. Faces were flushed and doll-like.
The Vibe: The runway was set up as a series of little parlors. The girls walked in a figure eight pattern through each "room" looking bored and stopping to pick a flower or put some makeup on. It was really a performance.
The Soundtrack: Birds chirping, followed by rain and thunder sounds. Once the show started it was sort of eerie high-pitched soft singing.
The Front Row: Hamish Bowles, random editors, MK fan kids
Celeb We'd Like to See Wearing It: Nicki Minaj
WTF Moment: You go to a Meadham Kirchhoff show because the whole thing is generally a WTF moment. This one was no exception.
