The Clothes: You really know we're looking at a season with a 'less is more' philosophy when Roberto Cavalli, the king of opulence and animal prints, pares it down. Cavalli opened his show with a series of all-white looks that were surprisingly sedate, save for the intricate eyelet. Eventually the runway did give way to prints: Head-to-toe looks in scarf-inspired prints in orange and green, and later, a kind of porcelain-inspired print in black-and-white. The last looks were slinky evening gowns in semi-sheer gorgeous, intricate lace that had been embellished with beads.
The Hair & Makeup: Smokey eye and long, unfussed-with hair.
The Soundtrack: Upbeat with heavy bass
The Vibe: Held at the gorgeous Arco della Pace, the show-goers were just able to escape the torrential downpour that soon after engulfed the city.
The Front Row: Elizabeth Hurley! We're not exactly sure what Hurley is doing at Milan Fashion Week (maybe it's to help promote her new bikini line for kids) but everyone was going crazy for her! And we were loving it.
Celebrity We'd Most Like to See Wearing It: Kate Moss.
