On the way into the Miu Miu show yesterday, we spotted campaign face Chloe Sevigny hanging out next to Vogue's Grace Coddington and Tonne Goodman.
Despite her intimidating companions, we managed to grab a second with the consummate downtown girl to find out what it was like to reprise her role as the face of Miu Miu 16 later.
Fashionista: What's it like to be the face of Miu Miu again? Chloe Sevigny: I'm a huge fan of Muiccia and what she does in the fashion world and the empire that she's created and, I was just flattered when they asked me again 16 years later. I was surprised! I saw the collection and they told me a bit about the concept for the campaign and, well, who's it going to hurt? No one.
How was it different from shooting the first campaign? Well the first time I was really young and inexperienced and it was with Juergen [Teller] so it was much more naturalistic and this campaign was with Mert and Marcus, it was highly stylized and it felt like a bigger machine, you know? A little more glamour, [laughs] a little more make up.
We have to say, standing a foot away from Sevigny, who was seriously pulling off a shorts-and-printed jacket number from the fall collection, she doesn't really need it. Also? She has the best legs. As always, good casting Miu Miu!
