Something current Vogue cover girl and The Devil Wears Prada star Anne Hathaway probably didn't do upon meeting Anna Wintour was exclaim, "I just met Miranda Priestly!"
The Hunger Games catapulted the actress, who has otherwise worked primarily in indie films, to mainstream fame. Meanwhile, projects like Winter's Bone and upcoming Silver Linings Playbook have earned her Oscar buzz and critical praise.
Add to that physical beauty, a good stylist, and maybe a major fashion campaign and you've got an ideal candidate for a Vogue cover.
Speaking of a good stylist, Lawrence has recently begun working with a new one--Rachel Zoe, to be specific--for her Silver Linings Playbook press tour, according to the Hollywood Reporter. She's since begun sporting more refined, grown up looks, like the black Dior by Raf Simons tux she wore to the Silver Linings Playbook New York premiere this past weekend. Lawrence, of course, is the new face of Miss Dior handbags, so we suspect she'll be wearing the label quite a bit.
Another thing Vogue seems to love is a good diet story. Somewhat ironically, they're not going to get an "I starved myself for Hunger Games" confession from Lawrence, since she's always preferred to set a healthy example for young girls. And we think that's more interesting anyway.
Our prediction for Lawrence's Vogue debut? November 2013--when the second Hunger Games movie hits theaters. For now, click through for some of her recent on-point red carpet looks.
