Looks like more editorial shakeups are on the way over at Elle.
Just one month after the magazine lost two of its senior accessories editors, a reliable source has told us that Kate Lanphear, Elle's Style Director, is also leaving the title.
Lanphear was named Style Director in 2008, and was at the magazine for a number of years prior. It's not yet known where Lanphear is going, however it was reported last month that the edgy editrix had been turned down for that WSJ EIC job, which Kristina O’Neill wound up getting. Could Lanphear have nabbed herself another high profile job?
We've reached out to both Lanphear and a Hearst spokesperson and are waiting to hear back. Stay tuned.
Update: An Elle spokesperson confirmed that Lanphear is leaving the title, writing in a statement:
"Kate is an extraordinary talent and we thank her for her many contributions during her six years at ELLE. We wish her the best of luck in her next chapter."
